WHEREAS, On the 16th day of November, 1937, the Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, passed an ordinance which was approved by the Mayor of said City on the same day; said ordinance providing for the making of a local improvement to be paid for by special assessment and being entitled "AN ORDINANCE PREPARED AND TRANSMITTED AND ITS PASSAGE RECOMMENDED BY THE BOARD OF LOCAL IMPROVEMENTS OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, PROVIDING FOR THE LOCAL IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF EAST LINN STREET IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, FORMING A CONNECTED SYSTEM OF PAVEMENT AND DESIGNATED AS PAVING IMPROVEMENT NO, 37-Aa and WHEREAS, In pursuance to the provisions of said ordinance a petition was filed in the City Court of said City of Canton, Illinois, praying that steps be taken to levy a special assessment to pay the cost of said improvement and an assessment was made and the assessment roll was returned and filed in said court and on the 14:6 day of Fo 15of1.0 ,1938 an order of confirmation was entered, and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Canton, desires to proceed with the said work as provided for in said ordinance, now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Canton,Illinois, that the said City, through its Board of Local Improvements, proceed with the construction of said work in the manner prescribed by law, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution be published in the . Canton Daily Ledger, a newspaper published and of general circulation in this pity, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that, ten days after the publication of this resolution, a copy thereof, properly certified, be filed in the said court of the City of Canton, Illinois, in which the judgment of confirmation was entered, as required by law.
