INSTATE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FOR WATERWORKS SYSTEM CANTON,
ILLINOIS DOCKET 1791.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Canton, Illinois did on
4liguoV 3. 1936, file an application with the Public
Works Administration for grant only to aid in the construction for
l certain improvements to their waterworks system, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Canton, Illinois did nn
February 18 1938, pass a resolution withdrawing their re-
quest from the P. W. A. for the reason that no funds were available
at that time, and the City was anxious to proceed if possible with
part of the work heretofprenTropgsedy and,
WHEREAS, Congress has made certain appropriations for a
renewed P. W. A. program,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the Mayor be authorized
to make a request to the P. W. A. for the re-instatement of the
original application as filed on August 3. , 1938.
