PE IT -1ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
7]BEREAS, the premises hereinafter described, which were here-
tofore acquired as a part of the site for the old waterworks plant
on South Avenue D, are not used by the City of Canton; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to lease to Perry Thresher for a term of two years
commencing on the first day of August, 1944, the following des-
cribed premises, to-wit :
All that part of the City lot at the South
Avenue D old waterworks plant lying west
and south of Big Creek, situated in the
Township of Canton, County of Fulton and
State of Illinois ;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the consideration for the rental
of said premises shall be the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00 ) , payable
Five Dollars ( 5.00 ) annually in advance, and the further consideration
that the said lessee shall keep all weeds upon said premises
mowed and will keep said premises suitably fenced.
Passed by the City Council this 18th day of ally, 1944.
