HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 09-18-1945 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 17th day of July, 1945, the proposal of Francoeur and Company to purchase the City of Canton Public Comfort Station Bonds, in the amount of Twelve thousand Dollars, ($12,000.00 ) , was accepted; and WHEREAS, said Francoeur and Company has failed to carry out its said proposal and to accept said bonds; therefore BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to cause the City of Canton Public Comfort Station Bonds, as provided in Ordinance No. 307, passed and approved February 20, 1945, to be printed, and to execute the same in accordance with the provisions of said ordinance; that, if said Francoeur and Company shall fail to accept said bonds and to pay the amount of its bid, plus the cost of printing said bonds, within ten days after it has been notified that said bonds are ready for delivery, then the City of Canton shall consider that r'rancoeur and Company have defaulted in its contract to purchase said bonds, and the Mayor and City Clerk shall sell and deliver said bonds to any available purchaser, or purchasers, at a pride not less than par value and accrued interest to date of such delivery. passed 9-18-45
