Whereas, there is a definite need for control of parking in
certain business areas of the City of Canton, now therefore,
Be it resolved by the City Council of Canton, Illinois in
regular session assembled this 5th day of July, 1919 that the committee
on streets and alleys and the city engineer be authorized to have park-
ing meters installed on the following named streets:
1. Along both sides of South Main Street from the intersection
of Pine Street to the intersection of Walnut Street.
2. Along both sides of East Pine Street from the intersection
of Main Street to the intersection of First Avenue.
3. Along both sides of First Avenue from the intersection
of Locust Street to the intersection of Pine Street.
4. Along both sides of East Chestnut Street from the inter-
section of First Avenue to the intersection of Second Avenue.
5. Along both sides of East Elm Street from the intersection
of First Avenue to the intersection of Second Avenue.
6. Along both sides of White Court from the intersection
of Elm Street to the intersection of East Pine Street.
