ORDINANCE NO . 1644
AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY LYNN
SUE BISWELL, FROM A B-2 ZONING CONFIGURATION TO R-2
ZONING CONFIGURATION.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is
located within the corporate limits of said City of Canton; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that the territory
hereinafter described is owned by LYNN SUE BISWELL; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a Petition for
Rezoning has been filed by the petitioner, LYNN SUE BISWELL,
requesting that the property hereinafter described be rezoned from
B-2 zoning configuration to R-2 zoning configuration; and
IT FURTHER APPEARING to said City Council that a public
hearing was conducted by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the
City of Canton, Illinois, in accordance with the laws of this
State and the ordinances of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, on November 8, 1999, and said Planning & Zoning
Commission unanimously recommended that the property hereinafter
described be rezoned from B-2 zoning configuration to R-2 zoning
configuration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Canton, Illinois, as follows:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section
25, Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the
Fourth Principal Meridian, City of Canton,
County of Fulton, State of Illinois:
'. Beginning at the Southwest Corner of
Section 25, thence North 89 degrees 54
minutes 15 seconds East, 785.49 feet,
thence North 89 degrees 54 minutes 15
seconds East, 465.34 feet, thence North 00
degrees 44 minutes 32 seconds East, 28.15
feet to the Point of Beginning, thence
North 00 degrees 44 minutes 32 seconds
East, 213.92 feet, thence South 85 degrees
11 minutes 45 seconds West, 57.37 feet,
thence South 00 degrees 44 minutes 32
seconds West, 209.17 feet, thence North 89
degrees 56 minutes 30 seconds East, 57.11
feet to the Place of Beginning, situated in
the City of Canton, County of Fulton and
State of Illinois;
being owned by LYNN SUE BISWELL, be and the same is hereby rezoned
from B-2 zoning configuration to R-2 zoning configuration, in
accordance with the applicable rules, laws and regulations of the
Illinois Municipal Code.
Section 2. That the City Zoning Administrator is hereby
instructed and ordered to make the necessary adjustments to the
zoning map of the City of Canton, Illinois, to reflect the
rezoning hereunder.
Section 3. That this Ordinance was passed and became in full
force and effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote
of the aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Canton, Illinois, this 16th day of November, 1999, upon
a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Nblleck, Hartford, Sarff, Phillips, Nidiffer,
Shores , May .
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman Meade.
