WHEREAS, from the Premiminary Report of the Traffic Committe of this
Coincil, dated May 10th. A. D. 1951, and submitted to the Council at this
meeting, for study and consideration, among other things and matters, finds
the following; to-wit.
First--that two (2) parking meter heads, as located and installed in front
of the State Bank of Canton, Canton, Illinois, be changed or re-placed from
the present type to a 24 minute limit.
Second--that six (6) parking meters as now installed , at or near the cor-
hers of the Public Square are a traffic burden and hazard, due to their lo-
cation and placement to near the corner; and the same have been designated
by this Committe, which said Committe approves the suggestions of the Chief
of police, who made the original recommedahion.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, that
the Chief of Police be authorised and directed to cause to be altered and
changed the parking meter heads in front of the State Bank of Canton, Ill-
inois as provided for in paragraph one (1) above.
FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Chief of Police be also authorized
and directed, to be cause to be removed by the proper officer or employee/I
of said City of Canton, Illinois, the six (6) parking meters referred to in
the second (tad ) paragraph above, and that he shall pointout and designate
the said parking meters, to be so removed.
FURTHER, AGAIN, this Order and Direction shall be followed and complied
with, with all reasonable sppeed
