HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution 10-02-1951 RESOLUTION WHEREAS, it is necessary to pay certain special assess- ment judgments which are now pending against the City of Canton, now therefore, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, in regular session, that the City Treasurer of the City of Canton be hereby directed and authorized to transfer the sum of $12,833.61 from the Public Benefit Fund and to use the said sum to pay the City's share of the special assessment judg- ment in Paving Project No. 50-C as directed by Ordinance No. of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, State of Illinois. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, in regular session, that the City Treasurer of the City of Canton be hereby directed and authorized to transfer the sum of $8,152.32 from the Public Benefit Fund and to use the said sum to pay the City's share of the special assessment judg- ment in Paving Project No. 50-I as directed by Ordinance No. of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, State of Illinois. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, in regular session., that the City Treasurer of the City of Canton be hereby directed and authorized to transfer the sum of 45,418.00 from the Public Benefit fund and to use the said sum to pay the City' s share of the special assessment judg- ment in Paving Project No. 50-J as directed by Ordinance No. of the City of Canton, County of Fulton, State of Illinois. RODMAN did serve with a creditable and honorable record as alderman in the First Ward of the City of Canton, Illinois; WHEREAS, he otherwise rendered valuable services to the people of Canton and also the County of Fulton, having been connected with the Sheriff' s Office and; WHEREAS, his passing has been a great loss to the city and county and.; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, and its Mayor and other officials express and extend its deepest sympathy to the family of the late W. B. Rodman, and further express appreciation of his fine record and by order this Resolution be filed by the Clerk in the proper file and the proper copy of this Resolution, approved by the Mayor and attested by the Clerk be sent to the family of W. (•- !/7r � dca� MAYOR ATTEST r :' L. s?� RESOLUTION WHEREAS, OTIS REDFERN formerly an alderman from the Second Ward of this` City, a member of this Council, departed this life on September 1, 1951; WHEREAS while serving as alderman of this Council he rendered honest, conscientious and efficient service to his people and the City of Canton, Illinois; AND WHEREAS, Otis Redfern was a native of the • City of Canton, Illinois and was raised in this City and rendered the City and Community great service in his life as a citizens THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Aldermen, Officers and employees of the City of Canton ex— tend their heartfelt sympathy to the family of the late Otis Redfern; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this. Resolution be filed with this City and a copy of this Resolution be filed and approved by the Mayor and its Council and sent to the family.
