HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #154 RESOLUTION YO. 154 WHEREAS, at the last meeting of the City Council there ap- peared students of classes from the Junior High School of this City; AND WHEREAS, these students were very interested in the proceedings of this Council and the management of the affairs of this City and asked very intellegent questions concerning municipal matters; AND WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Mayor and this Council that such teaching should be encouraged in order to obtain a better understanding of civic and municipal affairs and of our form of government. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: That the City Council and Mayor of said City extend the thanks of the City Council, Mayor and other officials of said City to the class that attended said Council meeting and gladly extend the wished of the Council to attend any future meetings and to feel free to inquire of any officers or officials of said City for information at any time. That a copy of this Resolution be sent by the Clerk of this City to the teacher of said class. • Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor this 17th day of November, A.D. 1953.
