ORDINANCE N0. 163+
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT FOR
f(ERRISHAFfERFOR A DAY CARE CENTER AT
469 SOUTHSECOND,~T(~E~ CANTON, Il:LINOIS.
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of September, 1999 the Planning and Zoning Commission did
recommend that 1~ERR/SHAffERbe granted a HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT to operate a day
care in her residence at 469SOUT SECOND, Canton, Illinois and;
WHEREAS, there were no objections to the proposed child care facility.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois:
1. That the Council finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That in accordance with the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Comission,lff.~l
SHAFfERis hereby granted a Home Occupation Permit to operate a Day Care Center at her
residence at 469SOUTHSECONO, Canton, Illinois.
3. That this ordinance shall be in effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of
the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approved by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting on
the 5th day of oct 1999, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Shores, Meade, Nidiffer, Saxff, Hartford.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Aldermen May, Phillips, Nblleck.

It is the recommendation of the Planning and Zoning commission to grant the following
requests:
• The request of Steve and Dixie Saunders to obtain a special use /home occupational
permit for a one chair beauty salon in the basement of 250 E. Vine.
• The request of Jana S. Taylor to obtain a special use /home occupational permit for a
dog grooming shop in the residence at 704 5. 3rd.
• The request of Kerri A. Shaffer for a special use /home occupational permit for an in
home child care center at 469 S. 2nd.
