AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF TITLE 8 OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL. CODE PERTAINING TO WATER AND SEWER SYSTEMRATFtiS
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Public Works, Water & Sewer
Committee that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
increase the sewer and water tap fees for potential users outside the corporate limits of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That Section 8-10-3 of the Canton City Code is hereby amended by adding the
following:
"(C) The fees for water and sewer taps for locations outside the corporate
limits of the City of Canton shall be double those shown in parts (A) & (B)
of this Secfion."
2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton and approved by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
