ORDINANCE NO. 1623
AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF A BED AND
BREAKFAST AT 229 N THIRD TO ERIC SCHENCK AND JACKIE SYKES.
WHEREAS, It appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County ,Illinois, that
the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, A petition was filed by Eric Schenck and Jackie Sykes, buyers of said real estate to
the Planning and Zoning Commission of said City requesting a special use; and,
WHEREAS, notice of a petition for a special use permit in a R-4 zoning was published within
said City and County, all in accordances with the Statues of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the
City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, No objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did thereupon make
favorable findings of fact and did recommend to the Canton City Council that said special use for the Bed
and Breakfast and home office (professional) facility at 229 N Third.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON. FULTON COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby finds the
foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That a special use permit for the operation of a Bed and Breakfast and home office
(professional) facility be issued to Eric Schenck and Jackie Sykes at 229 N. Third, Canton,
Illinois, affecting real property being legally described as follows:
Part of SE '/4 section 27 T7N, R4E of the 4"' P.M. beginning 33" South 217. 8' W of NE corner SE than
W 1 i 1.8 South 572 E 336.8 N 178',W 175 N 124' W 10' N265' to the point of beginning, including an
unsur<~eyed lot extending from the south edge of the blacktop south of St. Mary's Gym extending to
Ho~~-ard place, then E 336.8', N 178 frontage on 4`~ Avenue, W 175', N an undetermined number of feet,
thence W 161.8 to point of beginning situated in the city of Canton County of Fulton and State Of Illinois.
3. That the record of the City of Canton, appropriate documents, maps and related regulations
be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing special use permit granted
herein.
PASSED by the City council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular
meeting this 2n.d day of March 1999, upon a roll call vote as follows:

NAYS: None ,
