AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE 1612 OF THE CANTON
MUNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1612 pertaining to
sale of certain real estate; and,
WHEREAS, the legal description contained in said Ordinance included property
which is not to be sold; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to readvertise the property with the correct legal
description after repeal of the current ordinance authorizing sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That Ordinance No. 1612 pertaining to sale of certain real estate be and the
same is hereby repealed.
2. The repeal shall be effective upon passage by a majority vote of the City
Council and approved by the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois and approved by the
Mayor thereof this 5th day of January 1999.
