Edwards Way-50 North 4`" Avenue, Canton, Illinois 61520. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Mayor Kent McDowell, City Attorney Curtis Lane, City Clerk Diana Pavley-Rock, Treasurer Crystal Wilkinson, Public Safety Director Richard Fairburn, Street Superintendent Ron Robinson, System Maintenance Superintendent Dash Wilson, WTP Superintendent Greg Pollitt, Comptroller Lou Ann Armstrong, Dan Bender (Clifton Larson) MEDIA IN ATTENDANCE: Daily Ledger, Fulton Democrat VIDEO SERVICES BY JOE GINGER CALL TO ORDER ADOPTION OF ROBERTS RULES OF ORDER Motion and second were made by Aldermen Hale/Nelson to adopt Roberts Rules of Order. The motion carried by voice vote and was unanimous. COMMUNICATIONS FROM MAYOR MCDOWELL APPOINTMENTS FOR 2018-2019 FISCAL YEAR All current board members are being re-appointed to the new fiscal year(library, police and fire pension, police and fire commission, planning and zoning,etc). A list of the various department head's appointed were distributed for review. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Hale/Putrich to approve the appointments. Legal and Ordinance Alderman Craig West Negotiations, Grievance and Personnel Alderman Chris Jump Community and Industrial Development Alderman John Lovell Public Works Water and Sewer Alderwoman Angela Lingenfelter Public Safety and Traffic Alderwoman Angela Hale Streets and Garbage Alderman Justin Nelson Lake Building and Grounds Alderman Tad Putrich 2018/2019 SEATING ARRANGEMENT FOR ALDERMEN The seating arrangement will remain the same for the new fiscal year. COMMITTEE REPORTS: FINANCE ALDERMAN RYAN MAYHEW DISCUSS, CONSIDER AND VOTE ON A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION FOR THE CITY EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2018-2019 RESOLUTION 85146 The resolution reflects a 2% pay increase over fiscal year 2017-2018. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Mayhew/Lovell to approve the resolution and place it on file. LEGAL AND ORDINANCE ALDERMAN CRAIG WEST, CHAIRMAN NEGOTIATIONS, GRIEVANCE & PERSONNEL ALDERMAN CHRIS JUMP, CHAIRMAN COMMUNITY& INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ALDERMAN JOHN LOVELL, CHAIRMAN PUBLIC WORKS, WATER&SEWER ALDERWOMAN ANGELIA LINGENFELTER, CHAIRMAN PUBLIC SAFETY&TRAFFIC ALDERWOMAN ANGELA HALE, CHAIRMAN STREETS AND GARBAGE ALDERMAN JUSTIN NELSON DISCUSS,CONSIDER AND VOTE ON CLEAN UP WEEK June 18th-Jun 23 will be designated as clean up week. The cleanup days replaces what the City previously called "Gabby Days". The dumpster will be at the City garage for people to bring items they want to dispose of. Photo ID will be required. No tires, paint, electronics, shingles and building supplies. Elderly or disabled can contact City hall to make arrangements to have the items picked up from the terrace. Motion and second were made by Aldermen Nelson/Putrich to approve the clean up week for June 18-June 23, 2018.
