ORDINANCE NO. 1590
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING ON SOUTH FIFTH AVENUE
FROM EAST LINN STREET TO CORPORATE LIMITS IN THE CITY OF
CANTON, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS,. the. Streets. and. Garbage Committee. of the. Canton_City Council has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
eliminate parking. on South Fifth Avenue between East Linn Street. and Corporate Limits
in the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the_ Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That parking is_ hereby eliminated. and.. prohibited. on South. Fifth. Avenue from
East Linn Street xo CorForate Limits in the City of Canton, Illinois.
3. That all ordinances, or portions of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are
hereby rescinded and repealed.
4. That_ this Ordinance shall. be in full. force. and effect. ten. ~ LOl days after its
passage by .the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the
Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
5. That the.Street_Superintendent shall cause appropriate signs to be posted_

PASSED by the City Council of .the City of Canton, .Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 21st day of .Iuly , 1998, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Hartford, Molleck, 5arff, Meade, Nidiffer, May,
Shores,
