AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2
WHEREAS, the Streets and Garbage Committee has determined that it is
necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to restrict parking in the
first block of the West Maple area in Canton; and, further to delete the provisions for a
bus loading area on White Court.
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2(A) of the Canton Municipal Code be
amended to read as follows by adding the following:
"9-hD-2(A)10: On the North side of West Maple Street from the west line
of South Main Street to the East line of Martin Avenue in the City of
Canton.
3. That Title 9, Chapter h 0, Section 2(E) of the Canton Municipal Code be
deleted.
4. The remainder of Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2 of said Canton Municipal Code
shall remain unchanged.
5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and e#fect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a
regular meeting this 19~1ay of May , 1998 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Hartford, N~11eck, Phillips, Sarff, Meade, Nidiffer,
Pray, Shores .
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None
