OF OLD VINE STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS, FROM R-2 SINGLE FAMILY TO R-3 TWO FAMILY. WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, that a Petition for Rezoning was filed herein by Willis & Joan Taggart (Tag Enterprises, Inc.) and IT FURTHER APPEARING to the City Council of said City that due notice by publication in the Daily Ledger was given and a hearing conducted on April 13, 1998, by the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois in accordance with the statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois so made and provided; and IT FURTHER APPEARING to the City Council of said City that at said public hearing before the Planning & Zoning Commission, four objectors to the proposed rezoning appeared and the Planning & Zoning Commission of said City made findings of fact consistent with a recommendation to rezone said property a R-3 zoning configuration; and IT FURTHER APPEARING to the City Council of said City that at the regular meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission on April 13, 1998, said Planning & Zoning Commission recommended to the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois, by a unanimous vote, that the territory hereinafter described be rezoned from an R-2 zoning configuration to a R-3 zoning configuration; THEREAFTER, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS: Section 1. That the territory hereinafter describes as follows: Lots Numbered 3, 4 and 5 in Kuzniar Addition, to the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois; be and the same is hereby rezoned from an R-2 zoning configuration to a R-3 zoning configuration according to the statutes of the State ~i of Illinois so made and provided and according to the City Code of the City of Canton, Illinois. Section 2. That the City Engineer and the City Zoning Administrator are hereby instructed and ordered to make appropriate changes to the zoning maps of the City of Canton, Illinois, to reflect the above described territory in a R-3 zoning configuration as found by this ordinance and accordingly, the official zoning maps of the City of Canton are so amended. Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of the Aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, after presentation of same for a roll call vote at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City on the 5th day of May ,1998, said roll call vote being made as follows: AYES: Aldermen. Shores, May, Nidiffer, Meade, Sarff, Phillips, Molleck, Hartford. NAYS: Nane. ABSENT : None . APPROVED: ~ ; Donald E. Edwards, Mayor ATTEST: Nancy Whites, City Clerk
