ORDINANCE NO. 1547
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9, CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee has determined that it is
necessary, desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to restrict parking in the
following area in uptown Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2 (D) of the Canton Municipal Code be
amended to read as follows by adding the following:
"9-10-2 (D) 10: On the west side of North Main Street the fourth and fifth
stalls south of the Chestnut Street corner for a maximum 15 minutes"
3. The remainder of Title 9, Chapter 10, Section 2 of said Canton Municipal code
shall remain unchanged.
4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 20th day of May , 1997 upon a roll call vote as follows:

• Nidiffer, May, Shores.
