AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT/HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT
TO KEITH H. IFFT AT 184 E. CYPRESS STREET, CANTON, ILLINOIS 61520
WHEREAS,a Petition for Special Use Permit/Home Occupation permit signed by Keith H.
Ifft,the owner of the real property hereinafter described,was filed before the Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, requesting,that a Home Occupation Permit
be granted to him for the purpose of selling firearms and accessories under the guidelines of
the United States Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives;and
WHEREAS,THE REAL PROPERTY WHICH IS THE SUBJECT OF THIS Petition is located at
184 E.Cypress Street,Canton, Illinois and Is legally described as follows:
Lot 9 In Golf View Villas —Section One Subdivision, a subdivision of part of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth
Principal Meridian, Fulton County, Illinois, recorded as Document No. 0818730 In
Slide 405, Fulton County Recorder's Office.

WHEREAS, Keith H. Ifft is the owner of record of the real property located at 184 E.
Cypress Street,Canton, Illinois 61520 and there are no other owners of record;and
WHEREAS, said real property is wholly situated within the corporate limits of the city of
Canton, Illinois and is presently zoned PUD/R-2,and
WHEREAS, all petitions, documents, and other necessary legal requirements are in full
compliance with the statutes of the State of Illinois and ordinances of the City of Canton, Illinois
and proper notice of the filing of the Petition for Special Use Permit/Home Occupation Permit
was given as provided by law; and
WHEREAS,a public hearing was held before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Canton, Illinois on April 10,2017,pursuant to proper notice published In The Daily Ledger,
4 secular newspaper having a general circulation in the City of Canton, County of Fulton, and
State of Illinois; and
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said commission did thereupon
make favorable findings of the fact and did recommend to the Canton City Council that said
Special Use Permlt/Home Occupation Permit to allow Keith H. Ifft at the property located at 184
East Cypress Street, Canton, Illinois 61520.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, FULTON
COUNTY, ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton county, Illinois hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact.
2. That a Special Use Permit/Home Occupation Permit for the purpose of selling firearms and
accessories under the guidelines of the United States Bureau of Alcohol,Tobacco, Firearms,and
Explosives at the property currently zoned PUD/R-2 located at 184 East Cypress Street,Canton,
Illinois, affecting real property being legally described as follows:
Lot 9 in Golf View Villas—Section One Subdivision, a subdivision of part of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 15, Township 7 North, Range 4 East of the Fourth
Principal Meridian, Fulton County, Illinois, recorded as Document No. 0818730 in
Slide 405, Fulton County Recorder's Office.

3. That the City Council of the City of Canton, County of Fulton,Illinois, hereby finds the facts of
the aforegoing recitals to be fact.
4. That a Special Use Permit/Home Occupation Permit be granted to Keith H. lfft at 184 East
Cypress Street, Canton,Illinois as described herein shall be,and the same is hereby issued to
Keith H. Ifft,owner of property.
5. That the record of the City of Canton,appropriated documents, maps,and related
regulations be and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing Special Use Permit/
Home Occupation Permit granted herein.
