RESOLUTION City Clerk
WHEREAS, the City of Canton located in the County of Fulton, State of Illinois, wishes
to constnact a sanitary sewer along IL 78 from Lt. Sta. 269+40+ to Lt. Sta. 281+35+ (gig Creek
Park entrance to Free Masonry Temple). Also there will be a jack and bored line under IL 78
at the Big Creek Park entrance which, by law, comes under the jurisdiction and control of the
Department of Transportation of the State of Illinois, and
WHEREAS, a permit from said Department is required before said work can be legally
undertaken by said City of Canton; now
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Canton, County of Fulton, State of Illinois,.
First: That we do hereby request from the Department of Transportation, State of
Illinois, a permit authorizing the City of Canton to proceed with the work herein described.
Second: That we hereby pledge the good faith of the City of Canton and guarantee
that all work shall be performed in accordance with the conditions of the permit to be granted
by the Department of Transportation, State of Illinois, and to hold the State of Illinois,
Department of Transportation harmless, on account of any damage that may occur to persons
or property, during the prosecution of such work, and assume all liability for damage to
persons or property, due to accidents or otherwise, by reason of the work which is to be
performed under the provisions of said permit.
Third: That we hereby state that the proposed work ~; is not) to be performed by the
employees of the City of Canton.
Fourth: That the proper officers of the City of Canton are hereby instructed and
authorized to sign said permit in behalf of the City of Canton.
hereby certify the above to be a true copy of the RESOLUTION passed by the
City of Canton County of Fulton, State of Illinois.
