A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TCI RECONSIDER KEEPING WGN
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois has been advised that
TCI of Illinois will be dropping Channel 12 (WGN) from their lineup; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois would like to
encourage TCI to reconsider and keep WGN on our local cable lineup.
WHEREAS, Canton the Canton subscribers have voiced their opinions and would
like to continue to receive WGN.
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has determined that it is in the best interest
of the City of Canton to recommend that TCI of Illinois keep WGN on our local lineup.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council encourages TCI of Illinois to reconsider and keep
Channel 12 (WGN) on our local lineup.
2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by
the Mayor thereof.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 3rd day of December, 1996, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Hartford, Sarff, Phillips,
Nidiffer, Meade, Shores, May.
NAYS: None ,
ABSENT: None .
