A RESOLUTION ADOPTING FEDERAL MINIMUM WAGE STANDARDS
WHEREAS, the Federal law pertaining to minimum wage rates was changed
recently; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton, Illinois has some minimum wage jobs within its
municipal operations; and,
WHEREAS, the City wishes to be in full compliance with Federal law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the minimum wage rates established by federal legislation be and the same
are hereby adopted by the City of Canton, including the changes to be effective September
1, 1997.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 15 thday of October, 1996, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen May, Shores, Meade, Nidiffer, Phillips,
Sarff, Hartford, Molleck,
NAYS: None ,
ABSENT: None ,
