AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN PERSONAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY OF CANTON
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the City of Canton, it is no longer necessary or
useful to or for the best interests of the City of Canton to retain the following described personal property
now owned by it:
Siesta Motel neon sign located at 920 W. Locust Street, Canton, Illinois; and
WHEREAS,_Kevin Williams of Canton has offered to purchase the Sale of Property for the sum of
$2,025.00
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CANTON,FULTON COUNTY,ILLINOIS,AS FOLLOWS:
Section One: The foregoing recitals are incorporated herein as finding of the City Council.
Section Two: Pursuant to Section 1 ]-76-4 of the Illinois Municipal Code, 65 ILCS 5/11-76-4,the City
Council finds that the Sale Property, now owned by the City of Canton is no longer necessary or useful to
the City of Canton and the best interest of the city of Canton will be served by its sale.
Section Three: Pursuant to said Section H-76-4,the Mayor be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed
to sell the Sale Property to Kevin Williams of Canton, for the sum of$2,025.00
Section Four: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval in
the manner provided by law.
PASSED THIS 7TH DAY OF June,2016.

I, Kevin Williams, respectfully submit to the City of Canton, Illinois a bid of two
thousand twenty five dollars and no cents, $2025.00, for the purchase and
removal of the Motel Siesta road sign on West Locust Street in Canton, Illinois.
