A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 3032 OF JANUARY 15, 1991
WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Canton
on January 15, 1991 raising the base pay of then Police Chief Robert W. Molleck and then
Fire Chief Robert L. DeRenzy; and,
WHEREAS, said Resolution inadvertently referred to said raises as recognition of
service to the city as a retirement bonus; and,
WHEREAS, it was intended that each officer receive a compensation increase by
increasing the base pay of each.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council finds the foregoing recitals to be fact.
2. That Resolution No. 3032 of January 15, 1991 be and the same is hereby
amended to read in paragraph 2 as follows:
"That the base pay of Police Chief Robert W. Molleck and Fire Chief Robert L.
DeRenzy is hereby raised for each by the sum of $600.00 per 30 days for the last 35 days
of their active employment by the City of Canton.
3. That the pay raise in the preceding paragraph is exclusive of all other pay raises
such as annual percentage raises.
4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, at a
regular meeting this 19 th day of June, 1997, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Phillips, Sarff, Meade, Nidiffer,
May, Shores,
NAYS: None .
ABSENT: Alderman Hartford.
