GIVEN UNDER MY HAND AND SEAL THIS 20th DAY OF OCTOBER, 2015. (SEAL) IAA'NA- PAVLEY-ROCK CITY CLERK ORDINANCE NO. 4013 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10 (ZONING REGULATIONS) CHAPTER 12 (I-2 HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) SECTION 3 (SPECIAL USE EXCEPTIONS) WHEREAS, the Joint Planning & Zoning Commission has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Canton, Illinois, to amend Title 10 (Zoning Regulations) Chapter 12 (1-2 Heavy Industrial District) Section 3 (Special Use Exceptions) to also regulate communications and cell towers; and WHEREAS, the City of Canton is desirous of exercising its authority to allow additional uses in areas zoned I-2; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of its statutory powers to amend the Municipal Code for the City of Canton, the City Council and the Mayor, have determined that it is the best interest of the City to amend the Code to allow an additional special use that would allow for residential/institutional structures for a home that provides care for person who are aged, handicapped or impaired or a rest or convalescent home. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and the City Council for the city of Canton, Illinois, as follows: The City of Canton Municipal Code, Title 10 "Zoning Regulations," Chapter 12 "1-2 Heavy Industrial District," Section 3 "Special Use Exceptions" is hereby amended to include the following as a special use with the remaining Section 3 unchanged: -Residential/institutional structure for a home that provides care for persons who are aged, handicapped or impaired, or a rest or convalescent home.
