WHEREAS: Dr. Carlos Almedia has practiced medicine in Canton for over 35 years, first
with the Glen McGuire Clinic and since 1989 with the Coleman Clinic; and,
WHEREAS: his medical skills are widely known and respected; and,
WHEREAS: his care and compasion are also widely recognized and appreciated; and,
WHEREAS: he is retiring from the active practice of medicine and it is appropriate for
the community to recognize his contributions to it.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Canton acknowledges its
deep gratitude to Dr. Carlos Almedia for his many years of exceptional and compassionate
medical care for the citizens of Canton and surrounding areas; and, further wishes him the
best for his well deserved retirement.
