W-ERF.AS, the Public Safety and Traffic Committee has
determined that it is necessary, desirable and in the best
interest of the City of Canton to provide for the placement of
handicap parking spaces throughout the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois; and,

determination.

CITY OF G>'W'1~1, Fulton County Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That handicap parking spaces shall be designated by
Rsolution and placed at appropriate places throughout the City of
Canton, Illinois.
3. That the handicap parking spaces placed throughout the
City shall conform with the Illinois Nbtor Vehicle Code, Chapter
95 1/2, Paragraphs 11-301 and 11-301.1.
4. That the handicap parking spaces appropriately marked
shall be for the use of a person with a motor vehicle bearing
registration plates or a special decal pursuant to the Illinois
Nbtor Vehicle Code, Chapter 95 1/2, Paragraphs 11-13-1.1 and
11-1301.2.
5. That any violators of this ordinance shall be issued a
citation and fined in the amount of not less than $50.00 for each
violation.
6. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby rescinded and repealed.
7. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten
(10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof,
and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 4th day of august
1992, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Coay, Sarff, Steck, Bohlen, G'haprtax~, May.
NAYS : None
ABSENT: Alderman. Meade.
