SIDE OF CHESTNUT STREET BETWEEN SECOND AVENUE AND THIRD
AVENUE
WHEREAS, the Legal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton City
Counci! has determined it is necessary, desirable and in the best interest of
the City of Canton to allow parallel parking on the South side of Chestnut
titreei. between tiecnnd Avenue anal Third Avenue in the (:ity of Canton,
Illinois: and
WHEREAS, the Cancun City Council has made a similar determination.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That parallel parking is hereby permitted on the South side of
Chestnut Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue in the City of
Canton, Illinois.
~. That all ordinances, or portions of ordinances in conflict with this
nrd~nance are herebv rescinded and repealed,
~. 'fhat this ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
after its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as
provided by law.
S. That the Street Superintendent shall cause appropriate signs to be
posted.
