AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE IISE OF PIIBLIC BENEFIT FUNDS IN THE
PAYMENT OF CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF CANTON TO EAST
CHESTNIIT STREET, PROJECT FAII - 6884 AND MFT 91-00081-01-FP
WHEREAS, certain public improvements, consisting generally
of sidewalks, curb and guttering, storm sewers, traffic signals
and road improvements to East Chestnut Street from First Avenue to
Eighth Avenue are planned; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Canton has on hand the approximate sum
of $46,218.81 in Public Benefit Tax Funds which may be used for
such project; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has determined that it is
necessary and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
implement said Plan and Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds that the
construction of a new street, sidewalks and appurtenances on East
Chestnut Street is 100 in the public interest.
2. That Public Benefit Tax Funds not to exceed $46,218.81
now on hand are hereby appropriated and assigned to the
construction of a new street, sidewalks, and appurtenances on East
Chestnut Street in conjunction with MFT project 91-00081-01-FP and
FAU project 6884.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, and approval by the Mayor
thereof .
Passed by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this ~~C~ day of April,
1992, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: A7.dermen Coay, Sarff, St'eck, Bohler, Meade, Barnett, May.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Alderman.Molleck,
