AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT FOR THE
OPERATION OF A SMALL ENGINE REPAIR/SELL PARTS SHOP FOR
RONALD A. SCALF AT THE ADDRESS OF 345 SOUTH NINTH AVENUE,
CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City
of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, that the territory
hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits
of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a petition for a home occupation permit was
duly filed by the Petitioner and due and proper notice
was published within said City and County, all in accordance
with the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances
of the City of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning said Petition
was held before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the
City of Canton, Illinois, on the 9th day of March, 1992,
pursuant to notice; and,
WHEREAS, no objectors appeared (one written letter
was presented against) at said hearing and said commission
did thereupon recommend to the Canton City Council that
said home occupation for the operation of a small engine
repair/sell parts shop at 345 South Ninth Avenue be allowed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois, hereby finds the foregoing recitals to
be fact.
2. That a home occupation permit for the operation
of a small engine repair/sell parts shop be issued to,
and the same hereby is issued to, Ronald A. Scalf at the
address of 345 South Ninth Avenue, Canton, Illinois,
affecting real property being legally described on Exhibit
A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
3. That this home occupation is personal to RONALD
A. SCALF at the above stated address only. That any
cessation of such by RONALD A. SCALF or his moving or removal
from said address shall automatically terminate said permit.
That, further, such home occupation permit is not
transferrable or valid at any other address or affecting
any other property.
4. That the records of the City of Canton, appropriate
documents, maps and related regulations be, and the same
hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing home occupation
permit.
PASSED BY THE City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois, at a regular meeting this
day of 17th , 19 92, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Coay, Sarff, Steck, Bohler, Meade, Barnett,
r~.y.
NAYS: Nome.
ABSENT: None.

Illinois.
Lot Number 5 in A. E. Taff's Addition to Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois excepting:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 5 in A. E. Taff's
Addition to Canton, Illinois, as the same is marked by
a concrete post, thence North 65 feet along the West line
of said lot, thence East to the T.P.& W. Railroad
right-of-way, thence along said right-of-way in a
Southwesterly direction to the place of beginning.

The Canton City Council approved an Ordinance for Ronald
A. Scalf for a Home Occupation at the address of 345 South
Ninth Avenue, Canton, Illinois. Ronald Scalf was granted
permission to operate a small engine repair/sell parts
shop at the above mentioned address. A copy of the ordinance
is enclosed for your information.
