ORDINANCE N0. 1335
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARKING FROM 9:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M.
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF WEST LOCIIST STREET, COMMONLY KNOWN AS
"OLD WEST LOCIIST STREET," FROM THE 700th BLOCK, THROIIGH THE
800th BLOCK, AND THROIIGH THE 900th BLOCK OF WEST LOCIIST
STREET
WHEREAS, the Public Safety & Traffic Committee of the
Canton City Council has determined it is necessary,
desirable and in the best interest of the City of Canton to
eliminate parking from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the North
side of West Locust Street, commonly known as "Old West
Locust Street," from the 700th Block, through the 800th
Block and through the 900th Block of West Locust Street;
and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois, as follows:
1. That the foregoing recitals are hereby found to be
fact.
2. That parking is hereby eliminated and prohibited
from 9:00 a.m, to 1:00 p.m. on the North side of West Locust
Street, commonly known as "Old [Nest Locust Street," from
700th Block, through the 800th Block, and through the 900th
Block of irlest Locust Street.
3. That all ordinances, or, portions of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby rescinded and
repealed.
L,.. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council
of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by
the Mayor thereof, and publication in pamphlet form as
provided by law.
5. That the Street Superintendent shall cause
appropriate signs to be posted.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton,
Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 4th day
of February , 1992 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen May, Barnett, Meade, Bohler, Steck, Sarff,
Coay.
NAYS : Nome ,
