Jan. 15, 1957
A regular meeting of the City Council held this day convening at the hour of
7:00 P. M. with Mayor Woods presiding. Roll call showed the following present:
Alderman Seb ree, Swick, Miller, Skinner, Tink, Coleman, Turner, Staley, Cook and
Hill. Absent: Alderman Lundry and Smith.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and stood approved as read.
It was moved ty Alderman Hill, seconded by Alderman Cook, a uedblutienbe
drafted to include street lightd, in the recently annexed additions to the City,
and the Moitoh carried by a viva voce vote.
Ordinance "Annexation 5..-Sections of Lot 31, VanDyke Park Subdivision" was read
the first time. It was moved by Alderman Cook, seconded by Alderman Bill to suspend
the rules, and the motion carried by the f ollow&ng roll call vote: AYE: Alderman
w`^ Sebree, Swick, Miller, Skinner, Tink, Coleman, 'Turner, Staley, Cook and Hill.
NAB`: none. It wps then moved by Alderman Hill, seconded by Alderman Turner, to
place the Ordinance on its passaq e. Roll call vote: A YE: Alderman Sebree, Swick,
�'. Miller, Skinner, `rink, Coleman, urner, Staley, �'ook and Hill. NAY: None . The
chair declared the motion carried and Ordinance passed,being Ordim nee No.
Alderman Coleman moves, seconded by Alderman Turner, to purchase the Gallion
Motor Grader, 100 H. P., at an additional price of $740.00, submitted on their bid
on the 75H.P. Grader, at the previous meeting. Roll call vote: Alderman Sebree,
Swick, Miller, Skinner, Tink, Coleman, turner, book and Hill. NAY: Alderman Staley.
The chair declared the motion carried.
On motion of Alderman Hill, seco naded by Alderman Turner, bids advertised for
opening on this date on a Garbage Truck, were opened and read as follows:

On motion of Alderman Coleman, seconded by Alderman Turner, the bids were
referred to the Garbage committee and Finance Committee to check, and report back
at the next meeting.
Alderman Cook moves, seconded by Alde�erman Coleman, an Ordinance be drafter
setting the salary of the Street Supt., at $5200.00 per year and the motioncarried
by a viva voce vote.
