M. with Aayor Moods presiding. Roll call showed the following present: Alderman Sebree, Lundry, Swick, Smith, Miller, Skinner, Tink, Turner, Staley, hook, Jennings and hill. Absent: Alderman Coleman. Minutes of the last regular meeting end the adjourned meeting of July Path, were read and stood approved as read. Treatment plant; water Treatment i t � X Request of Gene Casey, for use of one side of the Square to hold a dance on Aug. 24th, was on motion of Alderman Smith, seconded by Alderman 'Jennings., granted. It was moved by Alderman Jennings, seconded by Alderman Hill, the Garbage Dept. start collection of garbage in the new additions to the City, and the motion carried. Alderman Cook moves, seconded by Alderman Hill, an Ordinance be drafted incorpo- rating new rules and regulations at the Lake. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Miller, Skinner, Turner, Cook, Jennings and Hill. NAY: Alderman Lundry, Swick, Smith, Tibk, and Staley. Alderman Sebree voting to pass. AYE;-6; NAY-5. The chair delcared the motion carried. Ordinance "Regulations at the Lake" was then read the first time. It was moved by Alderman Cook, seconded by Alderman Hill to sus-)end the rules. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman izx&= Miller, Skinner, Turner, vook, Jennings and Hill. NAY: Alderman Lundry, Swick, Smith, Tink and Staley, with Alderman Sebree voting to pass. AYE:-6 NAY-5. The chair declared the motion lost. Alderman Jennings moves, seconded by Alderman Staley, to pay the Life Guard at the Lake $200.00 per month, and the Assistand Life Guard, $180.00 per month, and the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. ,." Alderman Staley is excused. Communication from Henry Picton, police patrolman, submitted his resignation as of Aug. 15, 1956. Request of the Skelly Oil Co. to install underground tank at 5th & Oak Street, was on motion of Alderman Jennings, seconded by Alderman Smith, granted, subjbct to approval of the Fire Chief and City Engineer, by unanimous roll call vote. On motion ofAlderman Smith, seconded by Alderman Sebree, the meeting adjourned. ity r :;
