March 15, 1955. regular meeting of the City Council held this day conven ng at the hour of 7:00 M. with vlafor woods presiding. Roll call showed the following present . lderman iuuncan, Ploore, Lundry, Miller, Linder, Skinner, Coleman, Cook, and Staley. Absent: Alderman ,)Pbree, Smith and "lobuchar. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and stood approved as read. Rules and Regulations for 'frailer Coakk Parks I)ert. of Health, together with Certificate of Exemption was e�cae7�ted on State on file, by Alderman Moore, seconded by "Iderman'.Lundry. Petition by the Standard Oil Co. for permission to install one 40bl. under- ground tank at Halls Sarvice Station, and two 40 bl. tanks at Mettler Stati.on, was on motion of +lderman Moore, seconded b Hlderman S le subject to inspection of State Fire �`larshall and City St-ley, granted y t ngineer. It was moved by Alderman Moore, seconded by !lderman Cook, to place the question of Daylight Savings TI-me on the ballot at the election April 19, 1955, and the motion carried by a viva voce vote. Request of Eagles A xilia g u r'y tictivity Youth I'rognam to hold tag day on April 30, was on motion of Alderman Linder, seconded by Alderman Duncan, granted. Ordinance "Itenerant merchant or transient vendor and canvasser of pictures" was read the first time. It was moved by Alderman Staley, Linder, to amend the Ordinance to read fee of $50.00 t S , seconded by Alderman Roll call vote : AYE: Aldermen Duncan, Moore Lundry, instead of di'er,00 for license. ' Coleman, Cook and Staley. NAY; Nione. I was then moved lby�Al Alderman Stlley,�sec- onded by Alderman Cook to suspend the rules, Roll call vote: YE: alderman Duncan, X , Lundry, Miller, Linder, Skinner, Coleman, Cook and Staley. NAY:Moore Alderman Staley moves, seconded by Alderman Cook to place the Ordinance on its passage. Roll call vote: AYH: Alderman Duncan, Moore, Lundry, Miller, Linder, Skinner, Coleman, Cook and Staley, Nr�° None.
