M. with Mayor woods presiding. Roll call showed the following present: Alderman Sebree, Blackaby, Moore, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Hand, Cook, St. 'lair and j�lobuchar. Absent: Alderman Tink and Terpening. minutes of the Previous meeting were read. It was moved by Alderman "lobuchar, seconded by Alderman Hand, that the canvass report of the meeting of April 22nd, show the vote received by Harry Uebree for Mayor as a "Write-In" vote and the motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. The minutes were then anrroved. Petition of Mrs. George S ith, for two-week vacation pay of George Smith, deceased, was on motion of Alderman St. Glair, seconded by Alderman Gook, granted, by ur,animous roll call vote. The chair declared the motion carried and appointment confirmed. The -layor submits the name of Eugene Waddell, Chief Operator at the Sewage Disposal Plant for confirmation. . It was moved by Alderman Staley, seconded by Alderman Linder, to confirm the appointment. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Duncan, Lundry, Miller, Smith, Linder, Skinner, 'Coleman, Staley and ruskarich. NAY: Alder- man Sebree, Moore, Cook and Klobuchar. The chair declared the motion carried and appointment confirmed. Petition of the Police department :or raise in salary, was on motion of Alder- man Skinner, seconded by Alderman Coleman, referred to the Finance committee to report back at the next meeting, by a viva voce vote, It was moved by Alderman Staley, seconded by Alderman Linder, to recind action taken at the last previous meeting of the City council with reference to accenting bids on water meters, and that all bids be rejected, and the clerk be authorized to re-advertise for bids for 200 water meters, bids to be received and opened on Mai 19th. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman bebree, Duncan, Moore, Lundry, Miller, Smith, Linder, Skinner, Coleman, Cook, Staley, Klobuchar, ruskarich. NAY: none. the chair declared the motion carried. An Ordinance entitled"Salary-City Attorney" was read for the first time. An Ordinance entitled "Compensation-Election Judges and Clerks" was read for the first time. The following bonds were presented for approval: Police Department: Lester bmith, Claude ('rose, Donald Whitmore, Dale St. Clair, John Morgan, Chester lhilli �s, Paul Nebefgall, Raymond Ball, Kenneth Lindzey, James Smith. It was moved by Alderman Moore, seconded by Alderman Skinner, to a ,prove and accent the bonds, and the motion carried by unanimous viva voce vote.
