The chair declared the motion carried and the ordinance placed on its passage, being Ordinance No. 174. 4 fxt. Canton, Illinois Nov. 5, 1952 I The Mayor submits the name of John Taylor as Plumbing Ine-nector. It wps moved by Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Klobuchpr to approve the anointment . Roll call vote: AYE: Ald.erman Sebree, Blackaby, Moore, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Aand, Tink, Cook, St. Clair and Klobnchp.r. NAY: bone. The Mayor appoints to the Police Pension Board, Lawrence Shepley for a two-yeas term , and Mark Bybee for a one-year term. It was moved by Alderman Moore, seconded by Alderman Cook, to confirm the arrointments. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Blackaby, Moore, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Hand, Tink, Cook, St. Clair and Klobuchor *AY: 17one. . I Resoliition transferring; as a loan from the Garage Department to the Street &Alley Fund, 12500.00, was on motion of Alderman Klobueha.r, seconded by Alderman St . Clair, adopted by the following vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Blackaby, Moore, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Hand, Tink, Cook, St . Clair and globuchar. NAY: None. The chair declared the m-t1on carried and resolution adopted. Alderman Blackaby inanires of the Mayor why Oaks & Sons have not been paid the .amount due him, since the council over-rode his veto Ble Oct . 11 , at the regular meeting of October 21, and voted to sustain the oririna,l motion, and ..w: also innn.ired of the City Attorney how the bill can get paid if the mayor will r2 not sign the check. Attorney Martin informs the council, that Mr. . Oaks can collect by law snit against the City o�"A Mandamus:' Ilderrman 131.1 tekabp then asked the City attorney to read the rortion of the Ordinance on the Mayor's duties rernrding paving bills. City Attorney Martin then read this section to the Connell . Alderman ]Tend, chairman of the Water & Sewer committee, states that to etAtify himself in reference to not O.K..ing Oaks & sons bill. in Sentember, was due to his unwillingness to do so, because of not having the penality applied.
