Roll call show2d the following nresent: Alderman Sebree, Bla&aby, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Hand, Tink, Ternening, St . Clair and Klobudhar. Abseitt: Alderman Moore and. Cook. Minutes of the previous meeting were read. and- stood, anproved as read. Petition by nrone•rty oirmArs in Sian. View Terrace Ad.r?ition, for resurfacing or black'-ton was on motion of Alderman St . Clair, seconded by Alderman Ternening, referred to the Ponrd of Local Improvements, by a viva voce vote. Request from the F111ton County Health Department for nar!--inF sTaace on the square from Oct. 7 thru Oct. 17, to station an X Ray Mobile TTnit, was on motion of Alderman Jones, seconded by Alderman St. Clair, granted by a viva, voce vote. Request of the Fiwanis Club to sell peanuts on the streets on Sent. 27th, designated ns "National Rids Day", was on motion of Alderman Hand, seconded by Alderman Jones, granted by a viva voce vote. Alderman Sebree, chairman of the Police. Committee, reported. on the findings of the police committee in regard to Xnarebase of a car for the police department, It was moved by Alderman Blackaby, seconded. by Alderman Klobuchar, to annrove and accent the report of the committee, and to authorize the payment of the car, when nroper.ly signed by the committee and. allowed. by the council. Roll call vote: AXE: Alderman Sebree, Blacksby, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Hand, Tink, Ternening, St . Clair and Klobucha.r. NAY: none. The chair declared the motion carried. It was moved. by Alderman Hand., seconded by Alderman St. Clair, to re-a.dver- tine fcr bids for improvements at the waterworks olant , on modified snecifications, bids to be received until 7:00 P. M. October 21st. Roll call vote. AYE: Alder- man Sebree, Bla.ekaby, Jones, Skinner, Linder, F7a.nd, Tink, Ternening, St . Clair, and. Klobucha.r. ITAYbT none. The cia.a.ir declared the motion carried. Alderman St. Clair moves, seconded. by Alderman Sebree, the. Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to enter into contract with Swartabaugh and Nelson, for tre purchase of a. 1c52 I. H. C. Truck for the street department. After a. report by Attorney Martin, rega.rdimv! the hearing berore the Illino's Commerce Commission realtive to increase in utility* rates of the C. I. P. S. Co. , it was moved by Alderman St . Clair, seconded by Alderman Jones, to leave t1, matter in the hands of the Finance Committee, city attorney and Mayor, to take whatever action they deem necessary, and. the motion carried by a, viva voce vote. j Ordinance entitled "Regailating Traffic" was read for the second. tile. It was moved by Alderman Jones, seconded by Alderman Nand, to reject the ordinance, and the motion carried. by the following vote: AYE: Alderman Sebree, Rlackaby, Jones, Skinner, Linder, Nand , Tink, Ternening, St. Clair and Kl.obaichar. The annual. audit was referred to the Finance committee, to study and report hack, on motion of A1cle-man Nand, seconded by Alderman Jones.
