An adjourned meeting of the City Council of August 5th, was called to order
by Mayor Woods. Roll call showed the following present: Alderman Sebree, Bl.aekabv,
Moore, Skinner, Linder, Fand, Tink, and St. Clair. Absent: Alderman Jones, Ternening,
Cook and rlohuchar.
It was moved by Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Linder, to Accent
the bid of W. L. MillerCo. for oiling of roads, at the bid price submitted on
A1ig. 5th, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to enter into contract
with. the W L. Miller Co. , covering this material. Roll call vote: AYE: Alderman
Sebree, Blackaby, Moore, Skinner. , Linder, Nand, Tink and St . Clair. The chair
declared the motion carried..
It was moved by Alderman Moore, seconded by Alderman Tink, to purchase white
rock in connection with this bid on oiling, and, the motion carried unanimously by
roll call vote.
Communication was read by the clerk, from Clifford. Cardot relative to reckless
driving and sneeding in the city. On motion of Alderman St. Clair, seconded by
-7. Alderman Moore, the communication was referred to the Legal. and Police committee and
< ' Legal department and Traffic committee for whatever action is necessary, and the

motion carried ')y a viva voce vote.
On motion of Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Moore, the city clerk
was instructed to advertise for a new pick-up truck and used nick-up truck for
the street department, beigs to be recoived on Aug. 19th, and the motion carried.
It was moved by Alderman Blackaby, seconded by Alderman Moore, the ordinance I
committee draw up an ordinance necessary for regulation of traffic in VanBnren Ct.
from Elm to Pine St. , and the motion carried by a viva voce vote. C
On motion of Alderman Moore, seconded by Alderman Blacka.bi., the mee ng adjour-
ned.
