special meeting of the City Council held this day convening at
the hour of 7 :OOP.1u. with Iayor Woods presiding. poll call showed the
following present-* Alderman 6ebree, blackaby, 1-oore, Jones , Lurphy,
Skinner, Linder, hand, fink, gook, St. Clair and "lobuchar. Absent :
Alderman l'erpening.
Notice of call of this special meeting was read as follows ;

You are hereby authorized to issue notice for a special meeting of
the City Council to be held luesday, April 22, 19529 at the hour of
7 :00 P. L. for the purpose of :
Considering of "rdinance for salary increases of appointed city
officer and for the adoption of such ordinance or resolution that may
be required to put said increase: into effect.

The "jalary ordinance" was read for the first time.
It was moved by Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman Loore,
to amend the Ordinance to read the hourly wage employees be granted
a .06,p' an hour increase. boll call vote : AYE;: Alderman Sebree,
j.)lackaby, � oore, Jones, Murphy , jkinner, Linder, nand, fink, gook,
it. Clair and hlobuchar. Y : None. The chair declared the motion
carried.
Alderman i,:urphy moves , seconded by Alderman Moore, to suspend
the rules requiring the Ordinance as amended to be read the second
tune. boll call vote: AYE: Alderman Obbree, hlackaby, L,00re, Jones,
r..urphy, 6kinner, Linder, riand, Tink, "ook, it. glair and tlobuchar.
iVAAY : 14one. the chair declared the motion carried .
It wasmoved by Alderman Skinner, seconded by Alderman gook, to
place on its passage "rdinance entitled " alary "rdinance" . holl
call vote: A-YE: Alderman .Slackaby, Moore, Jones , L-urphy, Skinner,
gook, St . Clair and hlobuchar. "NIAi : Alderman 6ebree, Linder, nand,
and rink. Lhe chair declared the motion carried and the ordinance

ueneral r'und, was on motion of Alderman hlobuchar, seconded by Alder-
man Cook, tabled by the following vote : AYE: alderman Sebree, Llack-
aby, Jones, Lurphy, Skinner, hand , "ook, St . Ulair and Klobuchar.
SAY : Alderman Moore, Linder and 'rink. I'he chair declared the motion
carried and resolution tabled.
it was moved by Alderman Cook, seconded by Alderman Jones, that
Alderman `1'erpening, be marked as present , and the motion carried by
unanimous roll call vote.
On motion of Alderman St. Clair, seconded by Alderman ln.Loore, the
muting adjourned .
