W-fEREAS, the Lake, Bu i Idi ngs and Grounds Con-mi ttee of the
Canton City Council has determined that it is necessary and in
the best interest of the citizens of Canton, Illinois to amend
Title 8, Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Canton Municipal Code; and,
Wt7~EAS, the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois has made a similar determination.

CITY of CAP(T~i, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That Title 8, Chapter 11, Section 6, paragraph 14 of the
Canton Municipal Code shall be amended, to read as follows:
"8-11-6:
14. Boats shall be permitted to operate on Lake Canton at any
time until one hour after sundown on all days of the week,
however, a "no wake" period shall be designated on Mondays
of each week, except when a holiday falls on a Monday, and
on mornings of each day of the week until eleven o'clock
(11:00) A.M. No boat may be operated so as to create a wake
during the designated "no wake" period."
2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
im~nediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof,
and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
PASSm by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 18th day of
May 1993, upon a roll call vote as follows:
