RESOLUTION - APPROVING AN AMENDATORY AGREEMENT TO AGREEMENT #232, REACHED
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CANTON AND SHERWOOD FOREST. First reading, read by
title. Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Kovachevich, the res-
olution be adopted. Lengthy discussion pertaining to the contents of the
resolution. Roll call . AYES: Aldermen Horr, Clarke, Carl , Grant, Sarff,
Savill , Kovachevich. NAYS: None. Motion carried. 7 ayes 0 nays 1 absent.
Motion by Alderman Sarff, second by Alderman Grant to order 60 water meters
after the resolution is signed by both parties. Discussion. Roll call .
AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Savill , Sarff, Grant, Carl , Clarke, Horr. NAYS:
None. Motion carried. 7 ayes 0 nays 1 absent. Resolution being #943.
Agreement being #424.
ORDINANCE - APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE. First reading, read by title and total
dollar amount. City attorney explained some of the changes that were made.
RESOLUTION - APPROVING AN ADDENDA TO AGREEMENT #414, BEING: AN AGREEMENT
REACHED BETWEEN THE CITY OF CANTON AND LOCAL NO. 1897, FIRE FIGHTERS. First
reading, read by title. The heart of this agreement is paragraph one, accor-
ding to City Attorney Jim Malmgren. Motion by Alderman Clarke, second by
Alderman Carl , the resolution be adopted. Roll call . AYES: Aldermen Horr,
Q Clarke, Carl , Grant, Sarff, Savill , Kovachevich. NAYS: None. Motion carried.
Q 7 ayes 0 nays 1 absent. Resolution being #944. Agreement being #422.
RESOLUTION' - APPROVING AN ADDENDA TO AGREEMENT #413, BEING: AN AGREEMENT REACHED
BETWEEN THE CITY OF CANTON AND LOCAL NO. 759, AFSCME. The City Attorney Jim
Malmgren went through the agreement and reported the changes. Motion by Alder-
man Kovachevich, second by Alderman Savill , the resolution be adopted. Roll
call . AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Savill , Sarff, Grant, Carl , Clarke, Horr.
NAYS: None. Motion carried. 7 ayes 0 nays 1 absent. Resolution being #945.
Agreement being #423.
RESOLUTION - AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER TO
MAKE PAYROLL DISBURSEMENT TO TONY COCHRAN. First reading, read by title.
Motion by Alderman Grant, second by Alderman Horr. Roll call . AYES: Aldermen
Horr, Clarke, Carl , Grant, Sarff, Savill , Kovachevich. NAYS: None, Motion
carried. Resolution being #946.
ORDINANCE - PROVIDING FOR STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF E. CHESTNUT AND
NORTH THIRTEENTH AVENUE. First reading, read by title.
ORDINANCE - PROVIDING FOR STOP SIGNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF EAST MYRTLE STREET
AND NORTH SIXTEENTH. First reading, read by title.
ORDINANCE - PROHIBITING PARKING ON THE EAST SIDE OF VAN BUREN COURT BETWEEN
PINE STREET AND A POINT 65 FEET SOUTHERLY. First reading, read by title.
EXECUTIVE SESSION - THREATENED OR EMMINENT LITIGATION. Motion by Alderman
Kovachevich, second by Alderman Carl council be allowed to go into executive
session for the purpose of threatened or emminent litigation and discussion
of personnel from the Police Dept. and Fire Dept, being the secretaries.
Roll call . AYES: Aldermen Kovachevich, Savill , Sarff, Grant, Carl , Clarke,
Horr. Motion carried. Council adjourned for an executive session at 8:22 P.M.
