Aft ORDINANCE AMF~iDING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 10, SECTIOA 5 OF THE CANTON
M[1NICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE WATER RATE SCHEDIILE
WHEREAS, the Lake, Buildings and Grounds Committee has
determined that it is necessary and in the best interest of the
City of Canton to amend Title 8, Chapter 10, Section 5 of the
Canton Municipal Code to raise water rates to $1.15 per 100 cu.
ft. of water; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows:
1. That the Canton City Council hereby finds the foregoing
recitals to be fact. That Title 8, Chapter 10, Section 5(C) of
the Canton Municipal Code is hereby revised to read as follows:
"(C) Water Rate Schedule: The minimum monthly char e for
water services shall be two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50. In
addition to such minimum charge, the following rates shall be
charged for water actually used:
Amount Uaed Price Per 100 cu. ft.
For each 100 cu. ft. or
portion thereof $1.15
All water users outside the City limits shall pay two hundred
percent (2000 of the foregoing rates, except as otherwise
provided by the City Council."
2. That the Water Rate Schedule change shall take effect
with the next billing cycle following the passage of this
Ordinance for water actually consumed subsequent to the passage of
this Ordinance.
3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon ita passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois and approval by the Mayor thereof.

FP ri~arv , 1993 upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Coay, Sarff, Steck, Bohler,
Meade, Chapman.
NAYS: Alderman May.
ABSENT: None.
