HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution #5005 - provide for longevity pay for police chiefRESOLUTION NO. 5005 A RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE FOR LONGEVITY PAY FOR POLICE CHIEF, KENT A. MCDOWELL WHEREAS, Officers of the Police and Fire Departments are eligible for a longevity step after 20 years of service, and upon written notice may be approved and moved to the last longevity step. WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to make a similar provision for the incumbent Police Chief, and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. Kent A. McDowell, upon written notice to the Mayor, shall receive the $7,500.00 longevity step which will set his base salary at $87,645.00. 2. This is exclusive of all other pay raises, such as annual percentage raises. 3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois.
