HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #14204, ~~:- ORDINANCE NO. 1420 AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A HOME OCCUPATION PERMIT FOR THE OPERATION OF AN IN-HOME BEAUTY SHOP AT THE ADDRESS OF 325 LIBERTY PLACE, CANTON, ILLINOIS. WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is located within the corporate limits of the City of Canton; and, WHEREAS, a petition for a home occupation permit was duly filed by the Petitioner and due and proper notice was published within said City and County, all in accordance with the Statutes of the State of Illinois and the Ordinances of the City of Canton; and WHEREAS, a public hearing concerning said Petition was held before the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 14th day of February, 1994, pursuant to notice; and WHEREAS, no objectors appeared at said hearing and said Commission did thereupon recommend to the Canton City Council that said home occupation for the operation of an in-home beauty shop at 325 Liberty Place, Canton, Illinois, be allowed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois as follows: 1. That the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, hereby finds the foregoing recitals to be fact. 2. That a Home Occupation Permit for the operation of an in- home beauty shop be issue8 to, and the same hereby is issued to DORENDA LEDBETTER of the address of 325 Liberty Place, Canton, Illinois, affecting property being legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. 3. That this home occupation is to DORENDA LEDBETTER at the above stated address only. That any cessation of such by DORENDA LEDBETTER or her moving or removal from said address shall automati- cally terminate said permit. That, further, such home occupation permit is not transferable or valid at any other address or property. 4. That the records of the City of Canton, appropriate documents, maps and related regulations be, and the same hereby are, amended to reflect the foregoing home occupation permit. PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 16~ day of March, 1994, upon a roll call vote as follows: AYES: Aldermen. T0: Honorable Mayor and Members of City Council FROM: Richard Coay, Acting Chairman Planning & Zoning SUB: Recommendations from Planning & Zoning Meeting of February 14, 1994 DATE: February 15, 1994 It is the recommendation of the Planning & Zoning Commission to grant a Home Occupation Special Use Permit for Dorenda Ledbetter for property located at 325 Liberty Place. Ms. Ledbetter is planning on having a "One Chair" Beauty Parlor located at this location. Fulton County Emergency Medical Association, A Not For Profit Corporation, requested a re-zoning for property located at 205-215 West Walnut from R-4, Multiple Family Residential District, to 8-1, Local Commercial District, with a Special Use. This property would be used to build a building to house the Ambulance Service. The Planning & Zoning Commission voted 5 for the re-zoning and 5 against the re-zoning and 1 that abstained, due to conflict of interest.
