ORDINANCE N0. 1474
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING PARSING ON THE WEST SIDE OF ELEVENTH
AY&NUE BETWEEN EAST ASH STREET AND EAST MYRTLE; AND, ELIMINATING
PARSING ON BOTH SIDES OF ELEVENTH AVENUE FROM EAST MYRTLE STREET
NORTH TO THE CITY LIMITS
WHEREAS, the Leal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton
City Council has determined it is necessary, desirable and in the
bast interest of the Citv of Canton to eliminate narking on the
West side of Eleventh Avenue between East Ash Street and East
Myrtle Street: and,
WHEREAS, the Leal and Ordinance Committee of the Canton
City Council has also determined that it is necessary, desirable
and in the best interest of the City of Canton to eliminate
narking on both side of Eleventh Avenue between East Myrtle Street
north to the Citv limits in the Citv of Canton; and,
WHEREAS, the Canton City Council has made a similar
determination.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, Fulton County, Illinois. as follows:
1. That the fore~oin~ recitals are hereby found to be fact.
2. That narking is hereby eliminated and prohibited on the
West side of Eleventh Avenue between East Ash Street and East
Myrtle Street in the City of Canton; and,
3. That parking is hereby eliminated and prohibited on both
aides of Eleventh Avenue between East Myrtle Street North to the
City limits: and,
L,.. That all ordinances, or. portions of ordinances in
conflict with this ordinance are hereby rescinded and revealed.

5. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
ten (10) days after its passage by the City Council of the City of
Canton, Fulton County, Illinois, approval by the Mayor thereof,
and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
6. That the Street Superintendent shall cause appropriate
signs to be posted.
PASSED by the City Council of the City of Canton, Fulton
County, Illinois at a regular meeting this 5th day of July,
1995, upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES; Aldermen May, Shores, Meade, Phillips, Sarff,
Hartford, Molleck.
HAYS: None.
