ORDINANCE 1470
AN ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF JACK YANCICR OF 331,
331'-~ AND 333 WEST LOCUST IN THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS.
WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council of the City of
Canton, Illinois, that the territory hereinafter described is
located within the corporate limits of said City of Canton,
Illinois, and is currently zoned in an R-2 zoning configuration;
and,
WHEREAS, a Petition for Rezoning has been filed by the
Petitioner, Jack Yancick to rezone the property hereinafter
described to a R-4, Multiple Family, zoning configuration; and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted by -che Planning
and Zoning Commission of the City of Canton, Illinois, in
accordance with the laws of this State and the ordinances of
the City of Canton, Illinois, on the 12th day of June, 1995,
and said Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the
property hereinafter described be rezoned from and R-2 zoning
configuration to a R-4 zoning configuration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CANTON, ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That the territory described as follows:
Lot 47 in Ripples Subdivision, and Lots 4, 7,
8 and 15 in French's Addition to the City of
Canton, State of Illinois.
be and the same is hereby zoned as a R-4 zoning configuration
according to the City Code of the City of Canton, Illinois.
Section 2. That the City Zoning Administrator is hereby
instructed and ordered to make the necessary amendments on the
zoning map of the City of Canton, Illinois, to reflect the changes
required by this Ordinance.

Section 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon its passage by a majority vote of
the Aldermen holding office in the City of Canton, Fulton County,
Illinois, at a regular meeting this 20th day of June ,
19 95 , upon a roll call vote as follows:
AYES: Aldermen Molleck, Hartford, Sarff, Phillips, Bohler,
Meade, Shores, May.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.
