BE IT ORDAINED BY TF� CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS:
Section 1. That Chapter SLII, Article 1, Section 56, of
the Revised Ordinances of the City of (�nton, Illinois, 1959,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
That South Second Avenue from East Elm Street
' to East Maple Street is hereby designated as a one-way
street, upon which traffic of vehicles shall move in
one direction on.ly, that is, from North to South.
Parking of vehicle on said portion of said
South Second Avenue shall be and is hereby permitted,
parallel with sides of street, on both sidese of said
South Second Avenue.
Section 2. No parking shall be permitted on South Second
Avenue, between the South side of East Maple Street and Railroad
$treet except parallel parking of vehicle shall be permitted on
East Side of said South Second Avenue from the South side of
East Maple Street to the South side of the Canton Manfacturing
Corporation building.
Section 3. That the proper officials of the City of Can-
ton, Illinois, shall post signs informin� persons of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance.
Section 4. Any person who shall violate this Ordinance
shall be sub�ect to a fine of not less than Thre� (�3.00) Dol-
lars nor more than Two Hun.dred ($200.00) Dollars.
Section 5. That all other parts and portions of said
Section 56, Article I, ghapter %LII, as amended shall remain in
full force and effect.
Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten da�s
after its passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor,
and publication according to law�
