�RDINANCE N0. f/,��
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH� CITY OF CANTON,
ILLINOIS, That
Section 1. No person who is licensed to sell intoxicating
liquors, as defined in Chapter XXIII of the Revised Ordinances
of the City of Canton, 1959, at retail, shall sell, give, or de-
liver alcoho�liquor to any ge�son under the age of twenty-one
years, or to any intoxicated per�on or to any person known bg
him to be an habitual drunkard, spendth�ift, insane, feeble-
minded or distracted person. �
Section 2. No person under the age of twenty-one gears '
shall enter an� place Sellin� intoxicating liquors at retail un-
less accompanied by his or her parents or parent.
Section 3. Any person under the age of twenty-one 9ears
who, for the purpose of buying, accepting or receiving alcoholic
liquor from a licensee licensed to sell int�xicatin� liquor at
retail, represents that he is twenty-one years of age or over
shall be fined not more than fifty dollars.
BeCtion 4. No person after purchasin� or otherwise ob�ain ng
alCS�holic : '. iiquor , shall sell, �ive, or deliver such alcoholic
liquor to another person under the age of twenty-one years, ex-
cept in the performance of a religious ceremon9 or service.
Section 5. No woman or person under the age of twenty-one
yea�$�i���g� than a licensee conducting a retail alcoholic liq-
uo�r� un a license received from the City of Canton, Illinois,
or the wife of such licensee, shall draw, pour or mix any alcol-
holic liquor as an employee of any retail licensee ; and no per-
son under the a�e of twenty-one years shaZl at any time attend
any bar, draw, pour or mix any alcoholic liquor in a licensed
retail place where intoxicating liquor is sold at retail.
Section 6. An� person who sha11 be convicted of a viola-
tion of this �rdinance, other than Section 3 of this 8rdinance,
shall be fined not less than ten dollars and more than Two Hun-
dred Dollars.
Section 7. That all Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
any way conflicting with this Ordinance, be and the same is here
by repealed.
Section 8. The provisions and sections of this �rdinance
shall be deemed to be separable and the invalidity of any portio
of th�.s a��.in�nce shall not affect the validitrp of the remainder
Section 9. This Ordinance shall be in effect ten days af-
ter its passage by the City Council, approval by the Mayor, and
publication according to law.
