BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANT�N, ILLINf�IS;
Secti,on 1. Each regular �mployee of' the Gity of Canton, Illinc�is
who has one year or more of serva.ee shall be paid for five da.ys of absence
due to sickness each yaar. Sick leave credits can not be carried ov�r
into the next year. At the end of each year any unused portion of this
five days pay herein provided will then be paid.
Other sal.ary guarantees now in effect are sta.pulated in the
3nsurance cot�tract ma.in�ained by the City of Canton with the PrudentiaT
Insurance Companp. These stipulated guarantees sha11 be continued and
so paid.
, Section 2. I,ife Tnsurance. A $5,000 ordinary Life Insurance
polic`y�"or�ac reguiar emplayee shall be maintained and kept in force
by the Ci�y of Canton.
Health Insurance. Health Insurance sha11 be maintained and kept
in force by the City of Canton for each employee. An alternate plan is
provided for employees who wish to include health insurance for other
members of the�r fatnily. Under the altern$te plan the City wi11 pay
60% of the premium and the employee will pay the rema.ining 40%.
Sect� Qt� 3. Each employee and off icer of the City sha11 receive
an inc ease n pay in the amount of $2.40 per week.
Se�tion 4. Employees except clerical and technical employees who
are wpr�t n�� the City of Canton an a temporary basis shall be paid
$2.40 per hour for their services.
S�,c�ion S. Each member of the Fire Department sha11 receive �
annua ,.�y a cf"ot�iing allowance of $60.00 payable quarterly at the end
of each quarter„ Eaeh member of the Police Department sha7.l receive
annually a clathing allowance of $120.00 payable quarterly at the p�td
of each quarter.
Secti��c� Any prior ordinance in conflict with any of the
provi��,�.on� o : t is ordinance be and �he same is hereby repealed.
SeGtion 7. This ordinance sha11 be in effect on the 27th day
of Ap'r""�" �„�T96S, and its passage by the C3.ty Council and approval
by the Maqor.
