(AN ORDINANCE VACATING ALL ALLEYS LYING IN REALTY LOCATED BETWEEN
NORTH AVENUE B AND JOHNSON COURT AND BETWEEN WEST SPRUCE STREET
AND CASS PLACE)
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Canton, Illinois to provide for the vacation of all alleys
lyin� within the realty or territory hereinafter described�
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT HEREBY IS ORDAINED gY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CANTON, ILLINCFLS AS FOLLOWS : �

SECTION 1. Subject to the reservation hereinafter set �
forth, all alleys and all portions thereof, not heretofore vacated,
described and located as follows, be, and the same are hereby
vacated, to-wit :
All alleys and all parts thereof located and lying
between North Avenue B and Johnson Court and between West Spruce
Street and Cass Place, in the City of Canton, Illinois.
SECTION 2. That the right to maintain, renew or reconstruct
any public utility or facility in any portion of the alleys or
part thereof so vacated shall be, and the same hereby is reserved
in and to the City of Canton, Illinois or the public utility
owning said utility or facility and said City and said public
utility shall have an easement or right of way for t he maintenance�
renewal, or reconstruction thereof. •
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Canton,
Illinois shall file a certified copy of this ordinance with the
County Recorder of Fulton County, Illinois.
PASSED by an affirmative age and_no vote of three-fourths
of the City Council of the City of Canton, Illinois this 5th day
of December, A.D. 1972.
